Melon and Ginger Sorbet


serves 6-8

ingredients:

1 pound ripe melon flesh
1/2 cup stem ginger (or candied ginger syrup) with 1 tablespoon if its syrup
1 cup sugar


directions:

in a food processor, puree the melon and chill well.  Chop the ginger and add the melon with the ginger's syrup and the sugar.  Put into an ice cream machine and freeze/churn for  about 20 minutes. 

serve immediately or pack into a plastic container and freeze.
